MoD Account Client Relationship Manager –Defence / Military / Armed Forces (137w) – Home based (+ travel to customer sites) – £50,000 – £65,000

*This opportunity could suit an Armed Forces Service Leaver – EG. Recently discharged Staff Quartermaster or Technical Support Officer who has built up both sales and project management skills/experience.  Likewise, a suitably qualified technical Warrant Officer or Senior NCO could be well suited for this diverse role.

 

Role purpose

Our client is looking for a new member of the team to help drive forward their MOD site acquisition program, assist with site specific project management tasks and strengthen their relationships with military representatives within existing MOD sites.

Key Responsibilities

·         Joining the MOD account team, you will be responsible for bringing best in class internet experience to new MOD sites across the UK.

·         Identifying new MOD sites that require investment in their broadband estate.

·         Identifying key decision makers and influencers, with the aim of scheduling a face-to-face meetings to better understand their current technical challenges.

·         In collaboration with a Solutions Architect, present the clients PAYG Solution, ensuring solution addresses technical needs.

·         Helping to coordinate site surveys with technical team and ensuring adhere to MOD and clients’ best practice.

·         Acting as a Technical Installation Liaison with the SCIDA organisation once the project goes into the build stage.

·         Liaising with Defence Infrastructure Organisation for contractual and estate management matters.

·         You’ll also inherit several existing sites, where you’ll be responsible for growing the relationship and understanding if additional products and services can add value to customers.

·         Developing effective, multi-layer relationships within the MOD, demonstrating knowledge across their business and their decision-making process, adding value and exceptional engagement – becoming a trusted and valued partner

 

Key Requirements

·         Working knowledge and sound understanding of the MOD Estate (Firm Build, DIO Training Estate and Service Families Accommodation) in terms of estate and barrack management.

·         Extensive contact knowledge base covering all 3 services (Navy, Army, Airforce – or at the very least having knowledge base of any single service).

·         Have the ability, experience, and gravitas to confidently engage and communicate effectively at all levels across the MOD and the Tri Service chain of command.

·         Working knowledge of how the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and PFI Sites manage the site services and infrastructure.  In addition, have a working knowledge of the MOD procurement process and the inner financial workings of the MOD.

·         Have an understanding on how Defence Digital operate their services and where they could impact on either MOD PAYG opportunities or DBI opportunities.  In particular, the Site Coordinating Installation Design Authority (SCIDA) organisation and the ECR process.  DII/DBI or a working knowledge or professional qualification of any MOD communication systems is highly beneficial.

·         Proven ability to develop and maintain an effective network of contacts and build relationships at senior levels of the MOD

·         Ability to travel extensively across the UK and Ireland.

Your experience:

·         Experience within a technical role in the UK Armed Forces.

·         Communication Systems.

·         Knowledge of broadband and Wide Area Network deployments.

·         Security Cleared.
