Global Head of Intelligence (203se) – London with hybrid working available – £50-85k + Benefits


My client are a cutting edge intelligence and strategic risk analysis consultancy in the security sector, with a base in London.  They are currently looking for a global head of intelligence to join their existing team, supported by a global intelligence team leader as well as an experienced and innovative team of regional lead analysts.


You will come to the table with 15+ years of experience, thrive on leading and inspiring a market-leading team of experts with a strong framework offering not only freedom but also scope.  You will need to be innovative with a passion for intelligence, excellence and risk analysis and the desire to achieve goals through efficiency, innovation and experience. You will be part of an elite, motivated management team and will be setting the vision and challenge for their function, as well as supporting your people to deliver an ever-increasing range of services that will not only delight clients but also achieve the satisfaction that will underpin my client’s reputation of being one of the leading companies in their sector, as well as being proactive in identifying new business opportunities and growth areas.


You will be reporting to the Director of Intelligence with the day-to-day responsibility of delivering my clients subscription-based services, as well as driving technological innovation to ensure existing products evolve with the changes in the market and developing new ones, along with the overall responsibility for my clients ever-growing range of technology platforms and systems. You will be aiming to grow the substantial global intelligence team and adding more specialists in line with my clients continued growth strategy as part of these objectives, as well as developing and mentoring the existing team to ensure the continued excellence delivered by my client.


Part of your role will also be working closely with the customer relationship team, supporting business development through regular client facing engagements as well as being my client’s ambassador at industry-speaking events, taking slots and also producing articles for specialist publications as an SME and promoting my clients core values and principles. You will also have responsibility for the delivery of current training programmes, intelligence management and consulting projects for clients across all areas of the business.


Skills, Experience and Qualifications


•       Masters degree in a related field, for example International Relations, Politics, Security.

•       Full professional proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

•       Highly advanced research, intelligence gathering and analytical skills to interpret complex data sets.

•       Strong private sector industry networks, with membership and thought leadership across key global, regional, and local intelligence sharing groups.

•       Ability to maintain the highest levels of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality, while presenting credibility, objectivity, and respect across all parts of the business.

•       Ability to write high-quality executive briefs, detailed reports, and other documents, including presentation material to support decision-making.

•       Ability to quality assure intelligence products.

•       Able to work well in a team and communicate with a range of stakeholders to provide information and intelligence and ensure understanding.

•       Able to innovate and identify potential opportunities to enhance efficiency and/or effectiveness within own area of work, including developing own knowledge to increase effectiveness.

•       Able to break down a problem into component parts and determine appropriate action.

•       A self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritise, plan own work and agree on team workload management with peers, while meeting deadlines and often facing time pressure.

•         Able to set out logical arguments clearly, adapting language, form, and message to meet the needs of different people/audiences.

•         Experience in project management is beneficial.
