Job Description

We’re growing a small team of highly motivated staff to help members of the UK Armed Forces community get access to help in a number of key areas, including clinical treatment, social care, housing and employment. You’ll be working as part of a larger NHS led collaboration alongside other organisations working to improve veteran welfare.

You’ll be helping clients regain their confidence, independence and self value by supporting them and working together with service delivery partners to create a ‘whole of life care plan’ that offers tangible improvements to their quality of life.

The right candidate will have experience in working with vulnerable adults. They’ll have great people skills and will work well alone and as part of a wider supportive team. Personal and client administration is a vital part of this role so the ideal candidate will have a proven record in keeping to a schedule and communicating effectively with clients and colleagues. Building relationships with clients and service partners is integral to the success of this role. As a computer/phone based role, technical competency is a must. Ties to the military community and a strong desire to improve the lives of veterans is preferable.

Though no two days are the same in this line of work, the majority of your time will be spent organising appointments, making introductions/referrals into service delivery partners and supporting clients as they navigate the veteran welfare landscape. As opposed to the usual ‘signposting’ method, you’ll stay with your clients from the first step, to the last step of their care pathway and beyond.

In return, we’ll support you as you develop career making skills in the support sector and provide comprehensive training and qualifications. As a growing enterprise, progression is encouraged and opportunities to pick up new skills and responsibilities are available.
